Well, figuratively and maybe literally. Last night I get a text from one of my happy oilers. We will call her C.C. She has been using Young Living essential oils for almost a year now. After purchasing her Premium Starter Kit you could say she was hooked. This was the initial text I got: ***mind you this is very personal, and embarrassing to CC and I am sure any woman going through such a traumatizing situation***
“After I had our last youngster Liam, who is now about to be three, I developed some vaginal issues. Two weeks after giving birth to Liam c section I developed a vaginal bacteria infection. For any woman these things can be devastating. If you don’t know what it’s like let me tell you. You have a lot of vaginal fluid leakage and along with that comes a horrible smell. At the age of 26 I should be in the prime of my sex life they say. I’m overall healthy and been married for three years now. This has put a stop to our sex life for a long time now. It’s embarrassing for the fear of some possibly smelling you let along constantly wearing a pad, can’t go swimming, let along embarrassed to have intimate relationship with whom I’ve been with for five years and married for three. Well then I discovered these young living oils. Which have completely changed my life in many ways. This being one of them. So long story short. In a hot bath I use two cups of baking soda, 3 drops of frankincense, 2 drops of tea tree oil, and 3 drops of lavender at the first site of symptoms. I sit and soak for 30 minutes. Give it full 24 hours and all the symptoms are gone. No more taking horrible disgusting antibiotics no more monthly sometimes weekly doctors visits and no more dishing out unnecessary lab test to say I have a bacterial infection. Once I got this concoction down to the science and started working. It’s literally saved me in a sense.”
Candida is a form of yeast, or fungus, that’s naturally found on and in our bodies. There are more than 20 species of candida, but the most common is Candida albicans. Under certain conditions, an overgrowth of candida can occur, known as candidiasis, or a candida yeast infection.
Factors contributing to candidiasis include the use of antibiotics, birth control pills and steroids; diabetes; pregnancy; chemotherapy; immune system weakening diseases such as HIV/AIDS, and too much sugar in the diet.
Candida symptoms include vaginal yeast infections in women, thrush (oral yeast infection), skin rashes (including diaper rashes), athlete’s foot, fungal infection of the nails, headaches, fatigue, anxiety, mood swings, brain fog, cravings for sugar and alcohol, and intestinal symptoms such as gas, bloating, constipation and diarrhea.
If the candida yeast grow up into the small intestine, they’ll irritate the small intestine lining, actually causing minute micro-punctures in the intestinal lining – which we call leaky gut – and then the leaky gut will allow the absorption of undigested food molecules and candida yeast toxins. So into the bloodstream come all of these toxins and undigested food molecules, creating antigen, antibody and allergic reactions.
An intestinal yeast overgrowth means that the normal intestinal yeasts have been given reasons to grow up into the small intestine and throughout the body. For example, antibiotics can kill good and bad bacteria, but what they don’t kill is yeast. So yeast fills in that vacuum and, especially if you’re eating simple carbs and sugars – it could be fruit sugar, milk sugar, table sugar, or fruit – you’ll feed the yeast and the yeast will overgrow.

Candida can be and is often misdiagnosed. Simply because it can affect each individual differently. Because of this, the ailment is treated rather than the issue! It’s unfortunate that most people have to diagnose themselves before being treated. That’s why its so important to listen to your body. If you feel something isn’t right, demand to be heard.
There are so many symptoms as I stated above. Here are some ailments often treated but not recognized as a Candida invasion.

C.C. also told me that she has been very depressed as a result of this. Not to mention the obvious, that her sex life was gone. Again, I am not saying this is what C.C. has, but it’s worth asking her doctor to see if they can detect and treat it. Especially if she is getting reoccurring vaginal yeast infections. She also conveyed to me that she has a lot of these symptoms. Hopefully, by her braveness she opened a door that she will be able to finally close. I am just glad that the oils have been able to give her her happiness and her life back.
C.C. I love you, I admire you, and I am so proud of you for speaking up. Your story will help so many people. You my friend, are a rockstar!
