I have to admit, I do not really care for the taste of Turmeric, however the benefits are amazing. This recipe is for a daily morning shot. This Turmeric Shot will help for a boost of energy. It is a gentle detoxifier, which who couldn’t use a daily detox? This shot is also anti-aging (thanks to the curcumin), helps with depression, pain, arthritis, blood sugar, digestion and gut (ginger), hydration (coconut water), Cortisol (honey), adrenal function (sea salt) and for me helps me feel over all good. I notice personally that my mental clarity is on point and I almost feel refreshed after my morning dose.

This recipe will give you more than just one shot. It will last you almost a week or so (give or take). I didn’t have a juicer at the time of this recipe, I used an hand held emulsifier. You can use whatever is best for you. So here we go:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of coconut water (any brand that doesn’t have additives/preservative) **Vita Coco is good.
  • about 1 inch of fresh ginger root
  • 2 inch knob of fresh turmeric or 1 tsp ground organic turmeric
  • 1 juiced lemon
  • 1/4 tsp unrefined sea salt
  • 1-2 tbsp organic local honey

Directions

Basically throw all the stuff together and blend well. Strain the liquid into a glass container with a lid and store in the fridge. I take 1 shot every morning.
